Terms of service
1. Definitions
For clarity within these Terms:
• “MVLCXLM” or “us” refers to the entity operating this website and providing artworks for sale.
• “Artwork” means any digital file, print, canvas, or physical item created or sold by MVLCXLM.
• “Digital File” means the downloadable electronic version of an artwork provided to the Buyer upon purchase.
• “Ownership Purchase” means acquiring the artwork under full personal rights as specified in the product description.
• “Personal Use” means using the Digital File or physical artwork privately — including display, gifting, or transferring the entire copy — but not commercial reproduction, distribution, or creation of derivative works.
• “Customer / Buyer / You” means the person or entity placing the order via MVLCXLM.
• “Terms” refers to this Terms of Service document.
• “Defective / Damaged” means an item with material flaws or damage that occurred during shipping or manufacturing, beyond reasonable variation.
2. General
• Most artworks and products are made to order unless otherwise stated.
• By placing an order, you accept these Terms.
3. Pricing & Payments
• All prices are listed in GBP (£), inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
• Accepted payment methods include all major credit/debit cards and verified Shopify payment options.
• All sales are final. No returns or exchanges unless an item is defective or otherwise required by law under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
• Customers acknowledge that by downloading digital artwork, they waive their right to cancel under these regulations.
4. Intellectual Property
• All content, designs, images, and text remain the property of MVLCXLM unless explicitly stated otherwise.
• Ownership purchases convey only the rights described in the relevant product listing.
• Licensing agreements, where applicable, define permitted usage; anything not expressly permitted is prohibited.
5. Digital Artwork Download
• Each artwork purchase includes one secure download only.
• The download can be claimed via checkout, orders page, or email link (valid for 14 days).
• Links expire once claimed by any method.
• The Customer is responsible for safe file storage. Any errors or losses after download are the Customer’s responsibility.
• Technical issues will be handled individually — please contact us if required.
6. Ownership & Use of Digital Files
• Purchasing a digital artwork grants ownership of that specific file only.
• Customers receive the digital file for personal use only; copyright and reproduction rights remain with the artist in accordance with the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (UK).
• Commercial resale, reproduction, or distribution is prohibited unless explicitly agreed.
• These Terms apply to all digital files, physical artworks, prints, and merchandise sold by MVLCXLM.
• Each artwork may include a certificate of ownership. Buyers may choose to complete “Owner” and “Date” fields and store copies for provenance.
7. Liability
• MVLCXLM is not liable for damage caused by misuse, file corruption, or improper handling of prints or digital files.
• Buyers are responsible for any personal reproduction, resale, or modification.
• MVLCXLM is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to digital files once delivered.
• Customers are responsible for backups and file security.
8. Physical Prints & Canvases
• Unless stated otherwise, artworks are open-edition prints.
• Product descriptions reflect size, medium, and edition.
• Colours and appearance may vary slightly from digital previews.
• To preserve quality, promptly remove items from packaging and avoid leaving them rolled for extended periods.
• Prints are produced at 300 dpi or higher. Digital files provided for personal use may not scale without quality loss.
9. Defective or Damaged Items
• Report defects or damage within 7 days of delivery with photographic evidence.
• Valid claims will receive a replacement at no extra cost.
10. Governing Law
• These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
